About Ati-Atihan Festival

The Kalibo Sto. Niño Ati-atihan Festival, popularly known as the Mother of Philippine Festivals, is an annual celebration in honor of Sto. Niño de Kalibo, celebrated every 3rd Sunday of January.

The festival is the biggest event in the province that has spawned an economic dimension related to leisure, business, and tourism, and yet is giving the people a glimpse of the history and origin of the traditional fiesta.

Having the Kalibo Sto. Niño Ati-atihan Festival’s name imprinted as an event to look forward to every year, there is a challenge to make it better year after year, particularly that various festivals in the country are replicating its success story, thus, there is a pressing need to sustain, develop, and further promote it.

The Municipal Government of Kalibo through the Kalibo Ati-atihan Festival Board (KAFEB) will still stage the Kalibo Sto. Niño Ati-atihan Festival from January 7 to 15, 2023 with various activities intended to preserve and promote our culture and traditions, highlight our tourism resources and jumpstart economic recovery.
